Panasonic Poised To Release Gobi Hybrid 3G Enabled ‘Toughbook’ Laptops

Panasonic has announced that it will offer Qualcomm's Gobi 3G global
mobile internet technology as an option in all of its subsequent
Toughbook ultra durable laptops allowing users to 'benefit from the
worldwide high-speed data capabilities of multiple cellular broadband
networks' thanks in no small part to AT&T's continued support of
Panasonic's Toughbook range and its recent certification of Gobi for use
with its US network.'Adopting Gobi as the sole 3G mobile broadband
technology for our new products allows Panasonic to provide our
customers with reliable and innovative wireless connectivity,' said

Toughbook notebooks on the Verizon Wireless network reflects our

Panasonic's Gobi enhanced Toughbook 19 and Toughbook 30 ultra durable
laptops, which are also anticipated to gain Gobi certification from the
Sprint network in the near future, are set to begin shipping from October.
