Whilst HD displays are, in themselves, barely newsworthy these days what
makes Buffalo's new LCD HD display - specifically the HD2232HSR/BK -
particularly worth a mention is that Buffalo have managed to bring full
HD (1920ร—1200) resolution to a screen size that, on the whole, tends to
offer resolutions that are incomparable to the pixel counts of larger
24' and above displays.
Set for an imminent release in Europe, Buffalo's 22' 16:9 aspect ratio
wide screen Full HD LCD Display offers 5ms response time and sports a
contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a brightness of 300cd/mยฒ and a viewing angle
of 170 degrees and is set to retail for around a purported 280 - which
equates to around $400 at the time of writing - though at this juncture
its uncertain whether the HD2232HSR/BK will get to see a US release.
That said, what with Buffalo taking somewhat of a lead, its not
unreasonable to assume that more display manufactures will follow suit
and bring full HD to their sub 24' screens, which will undoubtedly be
warmly welcomed not least by HD console owners looking for a compact
dedicated screen to hook up to their PS3 and/or 360.
