MSI Wind Netbook Second Series Confirmed - MSI Wind 2 (Wind U120) Revealed

According to an interview with MSI's director of US sales, Andy Tung,
MSI's much praised Asus Eee PC competitor, the MSI Wind netbook, is set
to move into its second series with the up and coming release of the
somewhat predictably named MSI Wind 2 netbook - also known as the Wind
U120 - which, apart from sporting revised aesthetics seeing the Wind's
rounded corners give way to a 'square-like look' will also come with
inbuilt 3.5G WWAN connectivity and new HDD/SSD configurations.According
to the interview with MSI's Andy Tung appearing in Laptopmag, the new
Wind U120/Wind 2 is aimed specifically at business users (interestingly,
Tung states that the previous, rounded Wind models are, he feels, 'too
cute for business users') and is touted as having a design that's 'more
of a ThinkPad type of a design' and will initially become available with
just a HDD option with an SSD option following at a later date. Other
notable details include the fact that the new Wind U120/Wind 2 will
sport a 10' display, 1GB of RAM and a keyboard that, somewhat
cryptically, is described as being 'the same size as the one on the
current Wind, if not a bit bigger'.The new MSI Wind U120/Wind 2 is
expected to retail at around the $600 price point and, according to
Tung, will become available in the US 'by the end of November or early
December'.
