cell phone Motorola have also confirmed the up and coming availability
of their Motorola MOTOSURF A3100 Touchscreen Smartphone (or Touch Tablet
as Motorola's press release refers to it).
The Motorola MOTOSURF A3100 is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 working in
unison with a new user interface designed by Motorola and offers both
stylus and omni-directional trackball based navigation as well as the
aforementioned (2.8') display and is seen as a replacement of the long
since available Motorola Ming.
A quad-band GSM/EDGE and 850/1900/2100 tri-band HSDPA 7.2Mbps 3G
handset, the Motorola MOTOSURF A3100 offers stereo Bluetooth as well as
Wi-Fi wireless connectivity, comes with a (somewhat disappointing) 3
megapixel autofocus camera paired with a secondary VGA camera allowing
for video calling and additionally comes with integrated aGPS and media
player.
The Motorola MOTOSURF A3100 is presently billed as being set for release
in Asia and Latin America in the first quarter of 09 and, unfortunately,
at the time of writing no wider release has been indicated at this stage.
