USB flash drives that measure in at a mere 8mm in thickness with a new
16GB capacity version (specifically the RUL2-K16GL) joining the already
available 2GB RUL2-K2GL, the 4GB RUL2-K4GL and the 8GB RUL2-K8GL.
Whilst by no means the thinnest USB flash drive currently available, the
RUL2-K16GL Ultra Slim USB Flash Drive at least offers some protection in
the form of a shell (as opposed to being a 'bare bones' device) though,
in terms of durability, its hardly deserving of the 'rugged' tag. But,
as a standard day to day flash drive that's especially pocket friendly -
in even the tightest of trousers - the new 16GB version of Buffalo's
RUL2-K range of USB flash drives will undoubtedly suffice though its
hardly the most stylish of USB flash drives.
The Buffalo RUL2-K16GL USB flash drive, which has just become available
for around $65 in white and black, measures in at 20 x 8 x 52mm, weighs
just 10g, offers data transfer speeds of up to 480Mbps and is both
Windows and Mac compatible.
