has announced its latest offering - the BlueAnt Q1 Bluetooth headset.
The Q1 is stylishly designed with a removable over-ear loop and an
in-ear earpiece. It has added more features to the pathbreaking voice
interfacing technology of its predecessor, the V1.
The main feature of the Q1 is its ability to cancel out wind noise,
echoes, and road noise using mechanical and digital cancellation
technology. It would be fun to learn about the mechanical aspect of
noise cancellation - is it the design or are there some movable flaps or
something like that?
So even if you are out in 10 mph winds your listener is assured of
catching the deep timbre of your voice in all its purity. With the
built-in voice commands you can add voice dialing even to phones that do
not have it already. The Q1 gives an impressive 4 hours of talk time and
120 hours of standby. Packet loss concealment enables smoother
conversations without any dropped phrases. Multipoint technology enables
you to connect to two phones simultaneously. Other features worth
mentioning include digital signal processing software, automatic pairing
and reconnection, and automatic volume control.
The Q1 measures 2.17″ X 0.63″ X 0.27″ and will retail
for $129.95 from the second quarter of 2009.
