Korean product has proven fruitless (we do, at least, offer a link to
the official manufacture's site - which is something the credited source
fails to do) but this touchscreen PMP from Big Beam which follows on
from their previously released Ken I PMP - and is known as the Ken D -
is still worth the briefest of mentions.
A somewhat vanilla device from an aesthetics standpoint, the Big Beam
Ken D PMP sports a 2.8' LCD widescreen touchscreen display that, we
assume, offers the same WQVGA (400 x 240 resolution) specifications as
its stable mate, and, in terms of file format support, is puts in a
reasonable show in playing ball with MP4, WMA, APE and FLAC audio files
as well as 30fps AVI/MPEG4 video support complete with DivX 3.11/4/5 and
XivD codecs and TXT files.
The Big Beam Ken D PMP, which is set to become available in black, white
and (of course) pink, will come in two specific capacities - 4GB and 8GB
- though whether it offers microSD card support (as is the case with the
Ken I) cannot be established.
No word concerning a specific date of availability or pricing at the
time of writing but the device is expected to retail at a particularly
competitive price point though, for the time being at least, the Ken D
remains unlisted on Big Beam's official site.
