Belco Alpha 400 Ultralite Multimedia Mini Notebook/Netbook [The 400MHz Ultra Portable Powerhouse]

Whilst you have so many options available in terms of ultra
portables/netbooks, call them what you will, we strongly suspect that of
the ever expanding range of choice open to you this new ultra portable
from Belco, known as the Alpha 400 Ultralite, will attract about as much
interest as I did last night when I made a thinly veiled and somewhat
mistimed pass at my wife (when will I learn?).

Billed as being 'perfect for the light business traveler, student, and
every kid wanting to enjoy the experience of exploring the world of
broadband multi-media' it really is rather hard to take the Belco Alpha
400 Ultralite seriously being that, in terms of computing power, this
'unique design FULL-FLASH desktop' comes with a miserly BroadMIPS
XBurst 400 MHz (yes, you read that right) 32-bit CPU to assist you in
not powering at all though just about anything you throw at it that
requires any serious computation.

Nevertheless, for those that are still interested, apart from a 400MHz
CPU the Linux 2.4 powered Belco Alpha 400 boasts 128MB RAM, 1GB NAND
flash based storage which can be supplemented with SD memory cards,
802.11b Wi-Fi, a 7' 800×480 display and even has a touchpad
whilst, connectivity-wise, you're looking at three USB ports, an RJ-45
Ethernet port and microphone/headphone sockets.

Ideal for those that feel obliged to rebel against the significant
advances made in mobile computing technology over the last decade, the
Belco Alpha 400 Ultralite will set you back just short of $190 though we
would strongly advise that you reel in your expectations should you be
considering purchasing.
