Advanced Media Ridata 16GB/300x SLC CompactFlash Memory Card Announced

Following on from the Green House GH-SDHC32G4M 32GB SDHC memory card
just featured, the memory card news just keeps on coming thanks to
Advanced Media introducing their Ridata 16GB/300x SLC CompactFlash
Memory Card which offers 'one of the fastest transfer rates available'
in providing 300x high speed reading at speeds of 45MB/s as well as
write speeds of up to 31MBs.
'Professional photographers are faced with shooting larger, high
resolution - once in a lifetime photos. They cannot risk losing these
photos or their clients. We developed the Ridata 300X SLC CF card for
these people,' states Harvey Liu, president of Advanced Media, Inc. who
introduced their new Ridata 16GB/300x SLC CompactFlash Memory Card. 'In
today's world of sophisticated mobile digital products needing secure
SLC data storage and faster read times it just makes sense.'

The Ridata 16GB/300x SLC CompactFlash Memory Card utilises Single Level
Cell (SLC) technology whilst what Advanced Media term as 'an automatic
power management feature' is said to assure low power consumption thus
extending the host gadget's battery life but quite how far this
'automatic power management feature' actually goes in terms of cutting
back on power usage is (interestingly or, perhaps, tellingly) not
specifically detailed.

At the time of writing Advanced Media have not confirmed either a
shipping date or unit pricing though they have suggested that their new
Ridata 16GB/300x SLC CompactFlash Memory Card will be 'competitively
street priced'.
