The Softbank Sharp AQUOS FullTouch 931SH touchscreen handset is being
developed by Sharp Communication Systems Group for Softbank Mobile Corp.
The phone offers a 1024 x 480 resolution and multi-touch capabilities
such as tapping, double-taps, pan, pinch, scroll, rotate, etc.The
3.8-inch touchscreen features TrueTouch touchscreen solution developed
by Cypress Semiconductor Corp. The solution allows the phone screen to
track up to ten touches at the same time. TrueTouch is considered to be
the most advanced touch-screen solution in the market. It has opened up
new vistas for application usage. It is based on PSoC architecture that
enables designers to incorporate various features into the phone. This
particular model is a slider phone and offers an impressive 5.2
megapixel camera.The phone also features a 1-Seg TV tuner, Bluetooth
2.0, media player with microSD card slot, accelerometer, and a
web-browser. The web browser can be used for receiving weather updates
and other information. The 931SH 3G phone also stores a Wikipedia-like
dictionary. The 931SH will be available only in Japan.
