Pantech Slate (C530) Mobile Phone

Released in the fourth quarter of 2008, Pantech Slate a.k.a the C530 has
lived up to its initial reputation as being one of the most
messaging-friendly phones out there in the market. The Slate is less
than one centimeter thick and yet it offers a number of useful features,
not the least of which are a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.2-inch LCD
screen. The C530 supports multimedia such as email, IMs, a digital
camera, video recorder, Bluetooth, and more. You can run IMs in the
background. Email support includes Yahoo and AOL but not Gmail. One
drawback, if it can be termed one is that the screen is of a relatively
low resolution - 176 x 220. One reason , immediately apparent, as to why
this phone supports messaging so well is that the keys are well-defined
and quite separated. The C530 has the following dimensions - 4.2″
x 2.5″ x 0.4″. Easy messaging apart, courtesy AT&T’s
unlimited messaging plan, the C530 also keeps your social networking
life healthy by connecting you to sites like Twitter and Facebook.

All in all, the C530 is a cool budget phone for those who only wish to
fire away text messages and couldn’t care less for other niceties
in a mobile phone.
