KDL-52XBR9, KDL-46XBR9, KDL-40XBR9, KDL-32XBR9 [Sony XBR9 Series for 2009]

Sony introduced 4 models under its XBR9 series at the CES in January.
These are the the 52-inch KDL-52XBR9, 46-inch KDL-46XBR9, 40-inch
KDL-40XBR9, and 32-inch KDL-32XBR9. All models are fluorescent-backlit
using WCG-CCLF technology instead of using LED backlighting more common
these days. The company claims this results in more lifelike on-screen
images. All four models are due in Spring 2009 with details on the
pricing as yet.

The Motionflow algorithm used in the three larger models uses 240Hz
technology which enables crisp and clear images by quadrupling the frame
rate present in conventional 120Hz LCD TVs. The models are equipped with
widgets developed in conjunction with Yahoo; the widgets provide access
to weather reports, stock ticker updates, financial news, Yahoo Video,
Flickr images.

An Ethernet connection enables users to access Sony Bravia Internet
Video using an existing broadband connection. Other features common to
the four models are four HDMI inputs, a PC input, and an XMB-style
interface.

The 32-inch model has a 120Hz refresh rate, the Bravia processeor is
different from the other models and it does not offer the Onscreen TV guide.
