Zalman FG-1000 FPSGun Mouse – The Curiously Styled Mouse Optimised for First Person Shooters

We've seen our fair share of curious computer keyboards and mice here at
TFTS (who can forget the Combimouse, the Finger Mouse and the tacky Sig
Sauer P230 Mouse) but this FPSGun Mouse from Zalman, which has
apparently been optimised for use with First Person Shooters, certainly
has the distinction of being one of the most curiously styled computer
mice we've come across to date.

Looking, certainly from certain angles, like the severed foot of some
'black project' robot (perhaps that's just us - it's been a long day),
the Zalman FG-1000 FPSGun Mouse has been designed to be held in pistol
grip fashion and, whilst its design is certainly far from traditional,
the specifications are, as far as mice go, fairly impressive - with the
device offering up to 2000DPI sensitivity, 1ms response time based on a
1000Hz polling rate and a 16 bit data channel (with data transfer being
via gold plated USB connectors).

Naturally, as one would expect from a mouse geared at the FPS
fraternity, the Zalman FG-1000 Teflon footed FPSGun Mouse offers
complete programmability and profiling of its 5 OMRON buttons and LED
backlit scroll wheel as well full user definable sensitivity settings
(the FPSGun will allow you to switch between not only DPI sensitivities
but also various polling rates).

Compatible with Windows XP and Vista based computers, the Zalman FG-1000
FPSGun Mouse retails for around $73 / pound sterling37 / โฌ49.
