cameras in the guise of the Lumix DMC-TZ50 which, apart from offering
10x optical zoom, 9.1MP resolution and 460,000-dot high resolution 3 LCD
screen also comes with integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and the ability to
capture 720p HD quality video.
As one would expect with the inclusion of Wi-Fi, Panasonic's Lumix
DMC-TZ50 has been designed to make sharing photos without the need for a
computer a breeze and, with that in mind, the Lumix DMC-TZ50 can also
utilise T-Mobile's Hotspot service and Google's Picasa Web Album service
allowing for multiple or single image uploading via wireless home
networks or whilst roaming - with 12 months complimentary T-Mobile
Hotspot service being supplied with the camera in the US.
Apart from its Wi-Fi credentials, the Lumix DMC-TZ50 is far from a one
trick pony in coming with a 28mm wide-angle Leica DC lens offering 10x
optical zoom as well as the aforementioned 720p 30fps HD video recording
capabilities, MEGA OIS (image stabilisation) and intelligent ISO as well
as face detection capable of detecting up to 15 faces and, from an image
quality standpoint, is powered by Venus Engine IV advanced signal
processing system.
Undoubtedly an exceedingly capable point and shoot device, the Panasonic
Lumix DMC-TZ50 Wi-Fi Digital Camera, which, incidentally, is capable of
capturing 4:3 and 19:9 aspect ratio stills and video, will become
available in Silver from May (080 with a suggested retail price of $499.95.
