New Upgraded Nokia N810 With WiMAX Functionality Available in April? – Speculation Mounts

According to an apparently anonymous tip passed to BGR, Nokia's much
anticipated WiMAX capable N810 (touted as being the N830 by some) could
be released this April - though we should stress that this is as yet
unsubstanciated by Nokia.

The purported availability date of April 1st, apart from ringing all too
obvious alarm bells, would just happen to see the WiMAX N810's release
coincide with CTIA cell phone expo held in the US, however, which could
be taken to add some credence to the rumoured release date.

The upgraded variant of the Nokia N810 will see the original N810 Wi-Fi
capabilities enhanced significantly with high-speed, wide area internet
access and speculation is that any official announcement could be timed
to coincide with news concerning the official debut of the Xohm 4G
service from Sprint though neither company has acted to either confirm
or deny such speculation. That said, Spirit are on record as stating
that up to 10 devices, including a device from Nokia, would be available
on the official launch of its WiMAX service.

Is the updated N810 this device? We'll have to wait for confirmation, of
course, but few would bet against it.
