MultiX A32HQ Portable DVR & MP3 Player Offers No GPS Functionality [Despite its Appearance]

This interesting gadget known as the MultiX A32HQ Portable DVR, and
available from Maplin, may look like its role in life is to tell you to
turn left at the next junction or take a sharp right in 300 meters
(where no road actually exists) but, despite its rather Sat-Nav-like
appearance, it's actually a portable digital video player/recorder and
MP3 player that comes complete with camera and microphone.

Sporting a 262K colour 2.5' LCD TFT display offering 960×240
pixels, the MultiX A32HQ Portable DVR supports MPEG4 video file format
recording either utilising the supplied external camera or directly from
any VCR, DVD player, satellite receiver, DVB-T box or cable box using
its supplied AV cables - either directly to its (somewhat paltry) 128MB
of integrated flash based memory or SD/MMC memory cards.

Supplied with a bog standard TV-out connection, allowing you to view
recorded content on your TV if so desired, and with a built-in USB port
offering PC connectivity, the MultiX A32HQ Portable DVR can also be used
as a storage device as well as voice recorder and JPEG based digital
photo album supporting DPOF (Digital Print Order format) and slideshow
display, and, as alluded to previously, a digital audio player
supporting MP3 and WMA formats courtesy of its fold out speakers or
headphone socket. It also comes complete with an FM tuner.

Undoubtedly capable, if not wholly inspiring, the MultiX A32HQ Portable
DVR retails for around pound sterling150 at the time of writing.
