LaCie Minimalist ‘Black Box’ Desktop Hard Disk Sports Chic LaCie Design & 1TB of External Storage

We still have not quite got over the breathtaking beauty of LaCie's
Monolithic External HDD as featured previously on TFTS and now, as if to
cement their (in our opinion) already well established reputation for
producing some of the most aesthetically desirable external storage
solutions ever known to humankind, along comes this equally minimalistic
LaCie masterpiece offering a capacious 1TB of storage space.

Billed merely as the 'LaCie Desktop Hard Disk', this external plug 'n'
play hi-speed USB 2.0 7200rpm hard disk drive, apart from boasting 1
terabyte's worth of capacity, measures in at a mere 115 x 65 x 208 mm,
comes with 16MB (2×8MB) of cache, a transfer rate of up to
480Mbits/s (60MB/s) and is supplied with LaCie's standard software
package (which includes their '1-Click' backup program) pre-installed.

The previously featured Monolithic External HDD

Compatible with PCs and Macs, the 1TB LaCie Desktop Hard Disk has been
designed from the outset for ease of use and, we'll venture, as a design
statement that serves to remind us (as if we need to be reminded) that
even the most rudimentary of devices can positively ooze deliciously
cool appeal if you have the right design team on board - and
there’s no doubting that LaCie certainly do.

No word as yet concerning pricing or availability.
