games titles but that hasn't deterred a company by the name of Fly
Mobile from producing a mobile phone featuring integrated emulation
allowing the handset to play NES, SNES, Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games.
Coming complete with gaming keys and a joystick, Fly Mobile's MC100
Gaming Cell Phone comes with a 240 x 320 resolution TFT display, a 2
megapixel camera, ebook functionality and, thanks to a Yamaha chipset,
MP3, AAC, MP3 and MPEG4 multimedia capabilities as well as a microSD
card slot allowing for memory expandability.
But, relatively so-so technical specifications aside, what will
undoubtedly draw people to the Fly Mobile MC100 is its wholly unofficial
emulation capabilities - and this is especially the case when so many
old-school Nintendo titles are purportedly available for free from
dubious internet sites on a strictly 'ask no questions' basis.
We await Nintendo's response to the release of the MC100 with great
interest.
