Acer Debuts Eco-Friendly Aspire 3811TZ & 3811TZG Notebooks GreenPeace-certified Aspire 3811TZ & 3811TZG Laptops Announced

Folks from GreenPeace took some time off from their whaling war with the
Japanese vessels and looked for a few moments to the tech industry and
have rated some a new set of notebooks. Making the list are Ac
er's eco-friendly Aspire 3811TZ and the 3811TZG models as they don't
feature any bad-for-the-environment materials, including PVC (polyvinyl
chloride) and BFR (brominated flame retardants)
Part of Acer's thin-and-light Timeline series, both models come with
13.3-inch LED back-lit LCD screens and are powered by Intel's ULV (ultra
low voltage) Core 2 Duo processors that make them an extremely
power-efficient machine.
We don't have anything official regarding specs, but if we're to
speculate (and given the specs in the 3810 series) we're looking at up
to 4GB of RAM, 500 GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, maybe an HDMI port and a long
lasting battery that would be good for 8 hours of work.
The chemical characteristics of PVC and BFRs may generate toxic
substances like dioxins and furans at products' end-of-life, therefore,
the reduction of PVC and BFRs in Acer products will help protect our
environment from being poisoned by electronics goods, Acer said in a
press release.
