Motorola BACKFLIP Android Phone Gets Official Motorola BACKFLIP Coming from AT&T Later This Year

Motorola is one of the hottest cell phone manufacturers right now. We
have almost seen it die out last year but the company has been
resurrected and it looks like Moto is ready again to compete against the
top mobile phone makers out there. And Motorola is riding the Android
wave right now as it has a new device ready for us, the Motorola
BACKFLIP.The BA
CKFLIP is another Android handset with a name spelled in capital
letters. Moving on pass the name we will discover a phone like it hasn t
been done before. It s not just a touchscreen phone hiding Android OS
features underneath the screen. It also has a full QWERTY keyboard and a
complicated backflip mechanism that could improve your whole Android
experience. The reverse-flip QWERTY keyboard will help you type fast
emails and SMS message while the BACKTRACK feature should let you
navigate faster through all those menus you have to deal with daily.
The BACKTRACK is a touch panel neatly placed on the other side of the
device which is meant to let you scroll through the web, texts, emails
and news feeds without actually touching the screen. I d say this is a
pretty interesting and out of the box solution that could improve the
way we control our mobile gadgets.
Other features include a 3.1-inch touchscreen display, 3G and Wi-Fi
connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera with flash, aGPS, Bluetooth, a full
HTML browser, Android Market support and that MOTOBLUR interface found
on Moto s first Android device, the CLIQ.
The designated carrier to offer you the BACKFLIP is AT T and we should
see the phone in stores later this year. No pricing details have been
mentioned so far so we ll be back with more details once we have them.
The BACKFLIP will come with Android 1.5 on board, just like the CLIQ,
but an Android 2.1 update should be right around the corner. What do you
say? Ready for a BACKFLIP?
