Dell Vostro 1015 Begins Selling in the US Vostro 1015 Notebook Release Date & Price Confirmed

Announced back in August, the new Dell Vostro 1015 finally made it to
the US, with the company officially announcing that the notebook is
available for purchases, starting today. Meant as a stylish
business-oriented laptop, the affordable new Vostro 1015 runs on Intel's
Core 2 Duo processors, has an energy-efficient 15.6-inch WLED screen and
everything you need (they say) to make your work even more productive.
Starting from $429, the basic Dell Vostro 1015 has a 2.2GHz Celeron 900
processor, runs Windows Vista Home Basic, 2 GB of RAM and a 160GB hard
drive. In that price you're also getting a 2.0 webcam, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g)
connectivity, a 6-cell Lithium Ion battery and an 8X DVD+/-RW optical
drive. It weighs 2.4kg!
For those who're in for a lot more, the $629 model runs on a 2.1GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo T6670 processor, has Windows 7 Professional, 3GB of RAm
and double the amount of storage, 320GB. Too bad there's no HDMI port on
this little fella as it's pretty easy to see that the Dell Vostro 1015
would've topped the sales this holiday season. Still, not a bad
configuration to lure us into buying!
