What do you say folks? Are you ready for a brand new camera ready to
help you capture the magic of this Christmas and the upcoming New Year?
There s a new Leica in town that has just been made official.
Unfortunately for us the camera is very expensive which means that not
everyone will be able to actually get it.
The Leica M7 Edition Hermes has just been announced and before we
look at specs and features we ll tell you the official price of this
camera. The Hermes will be available for pound sterling8550, or about
$14,250, from authorized Leica dealers and the Leica Store Mayfair in
the UK. In case you don t want a very special edition camera then you
can always buy a new car. And with the current state of the conomy, we
will certainly not blame you if you do choose to buy a car instead.
The Leica M7 Edition Hermes package includes the following:
Leica SUMMILUX-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. wide-angle lens
Matching classic round lens hood
LEICAVIT M rapid winder
Real leather carrying strap
Linen-covered silk-lined box.
Leica has worked closely with Hermes in order to launch the special,
limited edition, M7 Hermes camera. The camera is available in silver
chrome with a choice of two calfskin leather: orange and etoupe (which
is the color in the picture above that s different than orange.) Only
100 models of each version are being made and each camera will have its
own number from 001/200 to 200/200.
What does the Leica M7 Edition Hermes has to offer compared to the
regular M7 model? Well here s a quick list of custom features:
Top plate engraved with the Leica name
Control elements manufactured in metal
Silver chrome back
Red color on the shutter speed dial replaced by the specific shade of
the camera s leather.
Everything else in terms of specs and features will stay the same so in
case you can t afford a M7 Edition Hermes camera you could simple settle
for the regular Leica M7 model. What s the latest Leica camera that you
purchased?
