Acer AS8940G-6865 Core i7 Notebook Announced Acer Aspire AS8940G to Run on Core i7 Quad 720QM CPUs


Acer has been secretly working on building a powerhouse portable PC
that accommodates the new Core i7 processors from Intel. Dubbed Acer
Aspire AS8940G, the powerful notebook has been designed for
entertainment and multimedia enthusiasts, hence why it runs Windows 7
Home Premium and has a Core i7 Quad-Core 720QM CPU under the hood.
The new machine comes with a 18.4 inch widescreen display (1920ร—1080
Full HD resolution), features an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M graphics card,
has 4GB of RAM, a 500GB SATA hard drive and support for Blu-ray (burns
DVDs, not Blu-ray discs). On top of that there's a multi-in-one media
card reader, an integrated webcam and Dolby Home Theater Audio sound
with five built-in speakers.
Available with an 8-cell Li-ion battery (4800mAh), 5 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI
out and eSata, the new Acer Aspire AS8940G will sell for just shy of $1,350.
