Hitachi HP-CN12 In-Ear Headphones Glittery Ear Bean Buds

There really isn't much that I can say about the Hitachi HP-CN12
earphones, but in the name of bringing our readers the news (no matter
how boring) I must press on. It seems like everyone and their brother is
coming out with a line of multi-colored in-ear headphones, so why
shouldn't Hitachi get in on the action? At least they were a bit
original when it came to choosing the colors. They'll be offered in a
series of eight pearlescent tones rather than the standard nine solid
colors that most manufacturers seem to be using to pair with the iPod
Nano. Way to think outside the box, Hitachi.
The Hitachi HP-CN12 earphones work within a frequency range of 20Hz -
22kHz at an impedance of 16-Ohms. I don't know what that means, really,
but if other headphones are a good measure of features, these are no
departure. The HP-CN12 also features a slider that adjusts the length of
the wire and prevents it from entangling. This should do wonders to help
lower the number of headphone-related hanging deaths we see every year.
According to the packaging they'll be marketed as the Mame headphones.
Mame means bean in English. Go figure. These ultra-unique earphones will
be launched in Japan on July 24th, 2009 and will sell for 1500Yen (about
$17). No word yet on whether or not the rest of the world will be able
to get them.
