MSI GT640 Notebook Announced with Core i7 CPUs

Long renowned for their hefty rigs, the folks from MSI have just added
to their G Series gaming notebooks with the new MSI GT640. A powerful
15.4-inch laptop, the new GT640 runs on Intel's quad-core Core i7
processors, is compatible with the upcoming Windows 7 and boasts a
pretty impressive specs sheet.

The new MSI GT640 allows you to choose from either 250GB, 320GB or 500GB
hard drives, has up to 4GB of RAM and features a dedicated GeForce GTS
250M graphics card that shouldn't die on you on most of the demanding
games these days. On top of that, the gaming notebook adds Wi-Fi
(draft-N) and Bluetooth connectivity and HDMI output to connect with
your HDTV or your external HD monitor.

Although meant for demanding processing, the GT640 comes with MSI's ECO
Engine for energy consumption management. Weighing in at just under 6
lbs with a standard 6-cell battery (there's also an option for a 9-cell)
the new MSI GT640 looks like a solid choice.

No word regarding price or availability, but it should be out shortly.
