HP EliteBook 8440w Notebook Review HP's First 14" Mobile Workstation is Overwhelmingly Powerful

Coming in as a response to customer requests for a smaller mobile
workstation, last week the folks from HP have officially unveiled the
new Elitebook 8440w notebook but haven't actually shed light on what's
under the hood. But after a few reviews all giving it an overwhelmingly
positive feedback, we had to dig throuh and see what are the sp
ecs for this solid machine.
Weighing in nearly 6 pounds, the new HP EliteBook 8440w definitely
qualifies for the heavy weight category; it's strong and rigid,
withstands bumps and won't bruise easily.
First to get the eye is the elegant gunmetal chassis (Dell has something
just like that for their business lineup) that has managed to feature a
2.66GHz Intel Core i7-620M processor and NVIDIA's Quadro FX 380M
graphics card (512MB), 4GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive, in one place.
On top of that, the new HP EliteBook 8440w mobile workstation notebook
runs on Windows Mobile 7 Professional and packs a 9-cell battery that
you can count on with everything turned on. It's yours for some $1,650
if you go for the above configuration.
