New Gateway EC Series (Gateway EC58) Ultraportable Notebook Unveiled 11.6โ€ Gateway EC58 Boasts Intel ULV CPU, DVD Drive โ€“ Due to Hit This Month

Following on from having offered you an initial heads up back in October
concerning the Gateway EC58 (see: Gateway Debuts EC14, EC54 EC58
Windows 7 Notebooks) Gateway have now officially confirmed that their
new Intel ULV CPU touting 11.6 � Gateway EC58 ultraportable notebook is
set to hit retail this month (somewhat later than we initially reported).
Running Windows 7 Home Premium, the Gateway EC58, which employs an Ultra
Low Voltage Intel Pentium Core CPU, aside from sporting an 11.6 �
1366×768 resolution widescreen display, offers up a 320GB hard
drive, up to a total of 8GB of RAM (in 2 x 4GB configuration), WiFi
wireless connectivity, HDMI port, webcam, an integrated card reader and
in-built 8X Super Multi double-layer DVD drive whilst, in terms of
battery endurance, the EC58 s 6-cell battery purportedly offers up to
eight hours of life based on a full charge.

is portable enough to take nearly anywhere to stay connected and have
fun " and the new EC14 brings a new element of entertainment to
customers with the ability to watch DVD movies, play games on CD and DVD

The integrated DVD drive in such a compact device will be a huge
benefit for customers who want the flexibility to enjoy and share
different movies, music, photos and more stored on a DVD or CD.
