HTC Smart Smartphone Specifications & Features Confirmed HTC Sense Touting HTC Smart Officially Detailed, Headed for Europe & Asia This Spring

HTC have officially unveiled their latest Sense touting smartphone, the
budget HTC Smart, specifically billed by HTC as being �an
easier-to-use, affordable smartphone which is set to release across
Europe and Asia from Spring this year.
The 2100MHz HSDPA/WCDMA/Quadband GSM/EDGE HTC Smart has been confirmed
as being powered by a 300MHz processor paired with 256MB of RAM (and
256MB of ROM) and sports a 2.8 � QVGA TFT LCD touchscreen, a 3 megapixel
camera with fixed focus and LED flash (or �flashlight as HTC term it)
whilst, in terms of additional connectivity, you can factor in Bluetooth
with EDR and A2DP but, alas, no WiFi.
Naturally the HTC Smart, which measures in at 104 x 55 x 12.8 mm and
which runs the Brew Mobile Platform, comes with an integrated media
player which specifically supports .aac, .amr, .qcp, .mid, .m4a, .mp3,
.wma, .wav audio and .mp4, .3gp, .3g2, .m4v video file formats with a
3.5mm stereo jack allowing end users to hook up headphones but if you re
looking for a host of additional features you ll need to keep in mind
that the HTC Smart is very much aimed at the budget smartphone market "
so you ll need to reel in those expectations accordingly. Thus, along
with dispensing with WiFi there s also no mention of features such as
integrated GPS, digital compass, etc, etc.

Offering a purported battery life of up to 370 minutes for WCDMA or 450
minutes for GSM in terms of talktime and up to 600 hours of standby
time, HTC are yet to offer any indication as to the HTC Sense s pricing
at this juncture.
