General Mobile COSMOS Android Smartphone Unveiled Android 2.0 Eclair Smartphone with 5 Megapixel Camera

General Mobile have officially announced their second Android smartphone
in the form of the General M
obile COSMOS smartphone which, along with being powered by the Android
2.0 OS (aka ร�clair) sports a 5 megapixel autofocus camera and a 3.2 �
320 x 480 (HVGA) capacitive touchscreen display.
At the time of writing details are fairly sparse but of the further
insights GM have offered we can confirm that the Marvell PXA935
processor powered General Mobile COSMOS smartphone will offer
900/1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA and 850/900/1800/1900MHz GSM/EDGE
connectivity along with integrated WiFi (802.11b/g) and Bluetooth 2.0
with A2DP as well as built-in GPS functionality, an FM radio, digital
compass, 256MB flash memory and 128MB SDRAM which can be supplemented
thanks to the addition of a microSD card slot.
At this juncture there s no word from GM concerning the COSMOS
smartphone s release date or retail pricing but the moment these details
are made available to us we ll be sure to offer up an update.
