Gateway LT21 Netbook Gets Pine Trail Treatment LT21 Series Netbooks to Get Intel Atom N450 Processors

Gateway have jumped the Pine Trail bandwagon by announcing that their
new Gateway LT21 netbook is getting an upgraded 1.66GHz Atom N450 CPU
under the hood. Other than using Intel's snappier processor, the new
LT21 series boasts a 10.1-inch widescreen display th
at does 1,024 x 600 resolutions, has a 160/250GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM.
Other specs include Wi-Fi connectivity (either 802.11 b/g or b/g/n,
depending on SKU), Intel s GMA 3150 graphics chipset, an integrated
webcam, a multi-touch trackpad, speakers, a digital microphone, and
either a 6-cell Li-ion Extended (5600mAh) battery that promises a 10
hours autonomy between charges or the standard 6-cell Li-Ion battery
(4400mAh) that is good for only 8 hours.
Weighing in at only 2.6lbs and measuring just one inch thick, On the
side, the LT21 features three USB 2.0 ports, a multi-format memory card
reader, audio in/out and an ethernet port.
The new Gateway LT21 netbook will begin selling late January for some
$329 on the better spec-ed model (LT2118u), with other versions starting
from $300.
