ASUS new refreshed UL30 model was quietly added to Amazon.com with
little fanfare. The refresh, officially model ASUS UL30Vt-A1, is a new
ultraportable notebook from ASUS that features more power and screen
size than the very popular netbook market.
The specs of the new UL30 are as follows, an Intel Core 2 Duo chip
clocked at 1.3GHz, a whopping 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 5
00GB hard drive, and NVIDIA G210M graphics with 512MB of VRAM. For an
operating system, ASUS included 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. All of
this is under a 13-inch display.
The original ASUS UL30 model (UL30Vt-X1 – for those keeping score
at home) was pretty well reviewed, with tech blog Engadget calling it
the CULV machine to get , and so this UL30 refresh is being somewhat
anticipated. You'll note the notebook sort of borrows some styling
queues from the current generation MacBook Pro – if you notice
that sort of thing. No word on when they'll ship, but you can pre-order
one now for $849.
