ViewSonic Launches New 23-IN & 26-IN IPS LCD Monitors ViewSonic’s 23-IN VP2365wb & 26-IN VP2655wb Monitors Available for $399 & $1,299

ViewSonic has a couple of new IPS LCD monitors for us and
the new models have been officially unveiled already. The new monitors
come in two versions, 23- and 26-inch and they offer IPS panel, full
HD 1080p resolution, full ergonomic functionality and USB ports. What
is IPS you ask? The acronym stands for In Plane Switching which is a
feature that will help you better enjoy your whole computer experience.
The IPS technology is apparently considered the best LCD technology
for image quality, color accuracy and viewing angles.
Here s what Jeff Volpe, vice president and general manger of ViewSonic
North America had to say about IPS:
IPS panel technology is a must have for professionals in image-rich
industries, such as graphic artists. Without enhanced viewing angles and
accurate color reproduction, they simply cannot do their jobs. Our new
LCD monitors are designed with these professionals in mind, providing
them with a true picture and color quality to make projects come alive.
Both new monitors come with a 4-port USB hub for easy connectivity,
ergonomic pivot, height adjustment, tilt and swivel functionality. In
other words they can pretty much be adjusted to fit your needs and seem
to be ready to offer you a comfortable viewing experience. Both monitors
also happen to be come with eco-modes that help you save up to 42% power
use.
The 23-inch VP2365wb offers you a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 1,000:1
contrast ratio, 14ms response time, a 300 cd/m2 brightness and it will
cost you just $399.
The larger model, the 26-inch VP2655wb LCD monitor has a slightly better
resolution at 1,920 x 1,200 and it offers a 1,000:1 static contrast
ratio and 4,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 400cd/m2 brightness and a
price tag of $1,299. Yes, it s a little too expensive compared to its
smaller brother but if money is no object to you, you should have no
problem getting it.
The monitors are already available from ViewSonic s website and you
should find them in electronics stores near you soon.
