Sony Launches Digital Comics Service On PSP Digital Comics Store On PSP Lets You Buy Comics, Open To Americans, British, Australia

Today, Sony launched their PSP Digit
al Comics Store for customers in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and
South Africa. The store will offer comics from Marvel and other comic
book publishers.
The Comics Store will be apart of the PlayStation Store, and will allow
users to purchase and download digital copies of their favorite comic
books. Publishers that have signed on are Marvel, IDW, Titan, iVerse and
2000AD. Nothing from DC, Dark Horse, Vertigo (my current favorite) or
Wildstorm, but they could always be added in the future.
The service has dropped forย maintenanceย reasons at the time of print,
but will be back up soon, according to Sony. The price of the comics
depends on it's popularity and age.
The reader offers a AutoFlow where the screen will automatically zoom
and focus on the action happening on the screen, and will let the users
listen to music saved on their PSP while doing their comics reading. Oh
yeah, and comic-crazy Canadians will be getting the service soon, too,
as Sony promised it will be coming next year to the Great White North.
