Nokia have officially unveiled a new, budget friendly 3G phone offering
social network integration in the form of the Nokia 7230 which,
according to Nokia, is made for the design-conscious consumer and
optimized for socializing and sharing with those closest to you.
Whilst Nokia s press release is fairly scant on details " that said,
this is an entry level budget phone, so there really isn t that much to
detail here " Nokia have at least confirmed that the Nokia 7230, which
is a Series 40 device (say no more), aside from boasting 3G
connectivity, offers a large 2.4 display (I ll have to get the wife
to read this as if 2.4 is indeed large I have nothing to worry
about), a 3.2 megapixel camera, an integrated music player taking in MP3
and AAC audio formats and built-in FM radio tuner.
Aside from additionally offering quick access to email, instant
messaging and social networks on the go that s about your lot " though
we can also confirm that the Nokia 7230 also runs to up to 4 hours of
talktime and 14 days standby time based on a full charge.
The Nokia 7230 is set to release in the first quarter of 2010 and
carries a price tag of EUR100 prior to any subsidies or taxes " which
will pretty much equate to the Nokia 7230 transpiring to be a freebie if
you sign yourself away on the dotted line.
