eBay doesn t need any more introduction, does it? Anyone with a computer
hooked up to the Internet recognizes the brand and knows what eBay
stands for. So I ll get right to the point as I am sure you ll be glad
to hear the news I m about to give you.
The giant auction site has announced a new application for iPhones and
iPod touches. Deals is the name of the application in question and
once installed on your iPhone will let you buy and sell stuff on eBay
and follow some of the best deals available at the moment. eBay has
released the app just in time for its upcoming 12 Days of Deals
promotion so get ready for a lot of deals coming your way soon.
Deals is now available to download from iTunes, and, naturally, it
comes free of charge. The app comes with features like simple,
intuitive navigation, customizable search features and PayPal
integration. That means you can now purchase stuff from eBay straight
from your iPhone or iPod touch. All you need is a PayPal account filled
with cash and an Internet connection in order to be able to buy some of
the products currently listed on eBay.
Here s what Lorrie Norrington, eBay Marketplaces President, had to say
about the new iPhone app:
As the world s leading online marketplace we have insights into how
people really want to shop and they clearly want to shop on their
phones. It s apparent that consumers want to shop for what they want,
when they want and WHERE they want, and that s not necessarily when they
re sitting in front of a computer or even walking through a store. This
eBay app for the iPhone is the ultimate tool to put great value and
selection at their fingertips on the go, wherever they are.
eBay s 12 Days of Deals start on November 27 and you ll be able to
follow them straight on your iPhone or iPod touch. What do you say,
folks? Have you downloaded Deals already?
