LG GW880 OPhone Brought to Life on China Mobile Android-based LG GW880 Smartphone Debuts in China

Helped by the fact that China Mobile is one of the largest carriers in
the world, in terms of subscriber base, there's no surprise that their
OPhone series has grown to be the largest single network Android line-up
there is. And speaking of OPhones, we just caught wind that LG is
readying their new LG GW880 (codename Amundsen ) to be released on
China Mobile.
Giving the Chinese iPhones something to worry about, the TD-SCDMA
Android-based smartphone has a solid 3.5-inch touchscreen display with
800×480 (WVGA) resolution display which will be just right for all
your photos, videos and browsing needs. On top of that, the device comes
with a 5 megapixel camera, GPS and Bluetooth support as well as CMMB
support for mobile TV tuning.
The new LG GW880 brings a breath of fresh air to LG's smartphone
collection as their only model so far is the GW620 Eve — which is
available globally but has a much more modest HVGA display.
No word on price or a release date, but it should be out in the wild
really soon.
