RIM has just unveiled that their latest iteration of Media Sync is
becoming available starting today at 12:00 PM, EST time. The latest
iteration coming from the Canadian stables, Media Syn 3.0 is a desktop
PC application that won't get you wow with its features.
Apparently in addition to music, the one thing that should have been
featured all along, is the two-way syncing of photos for PC users
although it's rumored to be extremely slow. The new Media Sync 3.0 app
lets users pull down files and folders from your computer directly to
your BlackBerry, allows for more storage space by optimiziing photos for
the device, lets users pull photos off their handset and pops up a
message when it detects new pictures.
Compatible with every media-capable BlackBerry device, the new
application works with both iTunes and Windows Media player, keeps
playlist syncing and random music lists. Make sure you run XP SP2 or OS
X 10.5.5 and higher, then get yours from www.blackberry.com/mediasync.
Here's the Media Sync 3 features list:
PC to BlackBerry sync:
Add folders for syncing with option to optimize pictures for device
Smart memory management: optimizes photo size, allowing for storage of
more pictures on device
