Lenovo ThinkPad X100e Netbook Debuts Early Next Year ThinkPad X100e Release Date Confirmed

Lenovo's rumored X200e has revealed itself to actually be the Thinkpad
X100e. Expected to be released early next year on January 5, as a
12.1-inch entry level ultra portable , the X100e is actually the first
ThinkPad of its size. If earlier reports have shown the upcoming Lenovo
netbook with a white finish, the company has decided to keep it away
from the IdeaPads and are going to give it a matte-black shell.
The specs are still sketch at this point. From what is known it will
either pack a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo processor and ATI's Radeon HD3410 or
X1250 graphics, or Intel's 1.4 GHz Centrino 2 Ultra Low Voltage
processor along with a GMA4500MHD GPU.
The new Lenovo ThinkPad X100e netbook comes with a 12.1 inch
1280×800 display , 3GB of RAM and Windows 7 preloaded. It would
come in HDD and SSD variants and also have optional support for Gobi 3G.
It should also be able to handle Windows Aero graphic UI pretty well,
along with some basic gaming and full HD 1080p video playback.
Lets hope Lenovo won't put an Atom processor inside, like Sony did with
their Vaio X and screwed up what would have been a great product.
