EyeTV App Streams Media Over 3G on the iPhone EyeTV iPhone App With Built-in Backdoor, Apple May Not Like It

Elgato is an OS X DVR software and television tuning/encoding hardware
provider that has come up with an EyeTV app that streams both live and
recorded content originating from your Mac — which you register it
free on their My EyeTV service. Although the biggest drawback of the
applications was that it couldn't streamed over a Wi-Fi connection, our
good friends from ElectricPig in the UK have found outย a quick and easy
workaround to allow it even if you're on a 3G connection.

Make sure you're getting the Live TV playback requires a Wi-Fi network
connection when using it over 3G. Tap the OK button, and the app will
act as if it can t receive broadcasts. However, tap the text of the
warning message instead, and the Eye TV app will stream live TV over a
3G connection.

Not sure if Apple or mobile operators Are going to find the $5
application and its little backdoor, funny, what we're certain is that
we'll enjoy it as much as we can, before it gets taken off the AppStore.
