Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet Leaked Archos 5 Price Leaks, First Images Online

Some weeks ago Archos was all set to unveil its latest media device at
an Android event in France, but we managed to get a hold of their Archos
5 Internet Tablet, the company's sixth-generation handheld part of their
A5 lineup. The Archos 5 comes with a touchscreen interface that is a
fantastic upgrade over their last-gen and acts as a great personal media
player with net connectivity .

This sleek device comes in four flavors, two flash based 16GB and 32GB
ones at $294 and $270 respectively and two HDD-based versions with 160GB
and 500GB priced at $320 and $420 respectively.
It features a 4.8-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480
pixels which is great for watching videos without straining your eyes,
an ARM-Cortex 600 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM, WiFi, 3.5mm jack for
headphones, Opera Web Browser for a fast browsing experience and will
also be capable of 720p HD video output.

The new Archos 5 Internet Tablet runs on the Android OS — the same
software running on smartphones like the HTC Hero and T-Mobile G1.
Other details remain unknown as of now, but we're pretty sure Archos
will make an official announcement soon.
