Adesso AKB-440 Slim Touch Keyboard with Trackpad For HTPC Setups & Those with Mouse Aversions

Addesso have announced that their slimline desktop keyboard, known as
the AKB-440 Adesso Slim Touch Desktop Keyboard, which features an
integrated trackpad, thus making it (potentially – see below)
ideal for use with HTPC set ups as well as for those with mouse
aversions, has just been made available to purchase.
The Adesso Slim Touch Desktop Keyboard which sports a 2.25 x 1.5 2
button Glidepoint Touchpad with scrolling feature, apart from boasting a
sleek design measuring in at 18.25 x 6.5 x 1 with 105 low profile
keys, additionally comes with seven dedicated multimedia keys taking in
such as volume settings, play, pause, mute and track forward/back but,
alas, it's not wireless (instead there's 6ft of cable allowing for USB
connectivity) which we suspect will serve as a mute point for those
wanting to hook up the keyboard to HTPC systems – though, in
fairness, Adesso are not actually aiming the device at that market.

That said, if we were working for Adesso we'd get a wireless battery
powered version out pronto as, cable free, this would undoubtedly find a
market for such set ups.

Adesso Slim Touch Desktop Keyboard Key Features:

Slim and stylish design with a metallic lining and a piano finish,
providing improved tactile feel and accurate key response
Integrated touchpad with GlidePoint technology, eliminating the need for
a mouse, providing additional, valuable desk space
Embedded multimedia and internet hotkeys, allowing users to control home
entertainment functions directly on the keyboard
The Adesso Slim Touch Desktop Keyboard is available now and will set you
back just shy of $60.
