Back in May we reported that the new Zune HD is on its way and that it's
tackling the iPod Touch. Well, today, we just found out that Microsoft
has made it official that the Zune HD is available for pre-order on
Zune.net, the Microsoft Store, Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart, with an
actual release/shipping date on September 15th.

The stylishTegra-powered portable is going to be available in five
colors (standard black and silver, blue, lime green, and red / maroon),
wit the black 16 GB versions selling for $220 while the platinum 32 GB
version sells for $290.

For those who don't remember, the new Zune HD comes with a large
3.3-inch touchscreen 16:9 OLED display with multi-touch, 10 hours of HD
video storage, has HD radio, HD video-out, Wi-Fi connectivity of course,
a built in accelometer and a QWERTY touchscreen keyboard. On top of
these all, like we mentioned above, the new Zune HD features NVIDIA's

We'll have to agree that the new Zune HD definitely looks sleek and
makes us crave for one. How about you?
