tackling the iPod Touch. Well, today, we just found out that Microsoft
has made it official that the Zune HD is available for pre-order on
Zune.net, the Microsoft Store, Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart, with an
actual release/shipping date on September 15th.
The stylishTegra-powered portable is going to be available in five
colors (standard black and silver, blue, lime green, and red / maroon),
wit the black 16 GB versions selling for $220 while the platinum 32 GB
version sells for $290.
For those who don't remember, the new Zune HD comes with a large
3.3-inch touchscreen 16:9 OLED display with multi-touch, 10 hours of HD
video storage, has HD radio, HD video-out, Wi-Fi connectivity of course,
a built in accelometer and a QWERTY touchscreen keyboard. On top of
these all, like we mentioned above, the new Zune HD features NVIDIA's
Tegra ultra low-power HD processor for rich multimedia capabilities.
We'll have to agree that the new Zune HD definitely looks sleek and
makes us crave for one. How about you?
