VIDEO: Rugged Nokia 3720 Tough Guy Phone N3720's Durability Tested & Confirmed

As the growing number of regular readers of TFTS know we tend to shy
away from postings that merely consist of a batch of videos but, in this
instance, we'll make an exception as these videos concerning the Nokia
3720 - which serve to underpin the N3720's rugged, tough guy nature -
are undoubtedly worth a gander.

Needless to say, having set this up as a video posting, here comes a
swathe of text (yes, merely posting a batch of videos without putting in
a little additional work really doesn't do it for us).

At this juncture little is known about the candybar Nokia 3720 and,
interestingly, even less is available in terms of reasonable imagery
(the above image is about all there is doing the rounds at the moment,
though we have, of course, acted to spruce it up as best we can). That
said, what is known about the ultra durable Nokia 3720, thanks to an
apparent leak, is that it runs the Symbian S40 OS (no Android OS here,
naturally) comes with a 2.2 screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera and that not
only does it boast considerable resistance to shocks and dust, but that
its also waterproof (though to what depths remains unconfirmed - it can
handle a pint of beer and a swimming pool dunking, certainly, as the
below videos serve to confirm).

In a thinly veiled attempt to promote the N3720's ruggedness, these
videos, which Nokia doubtless hope will go truly viral (they're
certainly on there way) have surfaced which we thought may be of
interest to those looking for a durable handset who remain un-swayed by
the likes of the newly announced Land Rover S1 phone, and the previously
featured Sonim XP1 JCB Toughphone and, of course, the Samsung Solid.

The Nokia 3720 is expected to drop sometime around September. We await
full details with interest and will, of course, bring them to you the
moment they become available to us.
