What's hot today is ice-cold tomorrow and the race to win the hearts
(and dollars) of those in the need for graphics speed is fast and
furious. The digital demons at Sapphire Technologies, a well-known
partner to the folks at ATI, are preparing to launch a new high-end
graphics card that is crammed with 2GB of on-board memory and oodles of
overclocking goodness. Say hello to the new 2GB Radeon HD 4890 Toxic
Vapor-X.
Building on the already-successful Vapor-X HD 4890 platform, Sapphire
and ATI have taken high-speed video to another level. The card itself
sports a sweet vapor chamber heat-pipe based cooling system, which by
itself is enough to get your testosterone flowing. It relies on the
thermodynamics of liquid vaporization to manage its cooling and at the
speeds this thing runs, you'll need every bit of it. This powerful
graphics card is equipped with 2GB of onboard memory, a 55nm RV790 GPU,
an 800 Stream Processor, dual-slot Vapor-X cooling solution and factory
overclocked frequencies - 870 MHz for the GPU and 4200 MHz for the GDDR5
memory. Some additional details:
Chipset: Radeon HD 4890
Engine Clock: 960 MHz
Video Memory: 2GB DDR5
Memory Clock: 1050 MHz, 4.2 Gbps
Memory Interface: 256-bit

So whether gaming is your thing or you are the rendering type, the
latest addition to the Radeon HD 4890 series of video cards is sure to
be right up your alley. The Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 Toxic 2GB is
available for pre-order only in Europe for around 230EUR and details of
