Rock Introduces Xtreme 790 and Xtreme 840 Gaming Laptops Blu-ray, 1.5TB RAID and dual GPU

Although a behemothic desktop PC custom tailored for a gamer's needs is
most of the time the best solution, avid players have started looking
the other direction at gaming laptops that become more powerful by the
day. In the same line, the wicked chaps at Rock have just introduced
their latest Xtreme 790 and Xtreme 840 gaming laptops - both of which
sport NVIDIA's 1GB GeForce GTX 280M (even in dual GPU mode), a Blu-ray

17-inch Full HD display, three 500GB 7,200rpm hard drives (RAID mode)
for a total of 1.5 TB of memory, while the Rock Xtreme 840 (below) steps
up with an 18.4-inch display, has Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors
and an option for dual NVIDIA GTX 280M GPU. Other than that, both models
also pack Wi-Fi connectivity, four USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI slot and a
7-in-1 card reader.

It runs Windows Vista (with a free upgrade to Windows 7 in October), and
speaking of affordable, the Xtreme 790 will set you off 1,999 pounds
(some $3,258 at today's rate) while the lighter Xtreme 840 goes at 1,699
(some $2,769). Are you game?
