NEC have announced a new LCD TFT in its MultiSync P series of displays
in the form of the 22' P221W widescreen which offers a maximum
resolution of 1680x1050 as which is aimed specifically at graphics
professionals.
The NEW P221W LCD TFT, according to DigiTimes sports a purported 1000:1
(?) contrast ratio, a response time of 16ms and 96% wide color gamut
coverage of AdobeRGB as well as a 178-degree viewing angle and is
capable of being rotated to allow for both landscape and portrait
orientations and is set for release in December at a price point of just
shy of $637. Additionally, also seeing a December release, is NEC's
SpectraviewII kit hardware color calibration tool which will set you
back a further $375.
