Gigabyte M912V Tablet PC Poised For Release Gigabyte's Budget Atom Powered UMPC

Gigabyte's recently announced Atom powered Gigabyte M912V Tablet PC is
poised for imminent release this month (July 08) and, apart from
offering a swivel 8.9' 1280'768ย resolution touchscreen display
allowing the Gigabyte M912V to be used as both a notebook and a tablet
PC, comes with optional Windows XP, Vista or Linux operating systems and
integrated 802.11b/g wireless.

Gigabyte M912V Tablet PC Key Features:

Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU
8.9'LCD panel/WXGA 1280×768, w/Touch screen, LED Backlight, as 180
rotation angle
Intel 945GSE Chipset

2.5' ,9.5mm S-ATA HDD 120/160/250GB
Integrated 1.3MP Webcam
Builtin Stereo Speakers (2 1.5W)

802.11b/g wireless connectivity

Admittedly the specification and the M912V's battery life are hardly
spectacular, though with a retail price of around $699 there's no doubt
that the Gigabyte M912V is extremely competitively priced so to compare
it against the likes of the previously featured Fujitsu LifeBook T5010
seems wholly unfair - but, given the choice, we think we'd rather hold
back and save for the T5010.
