3 Mobile Intro Redesigned Skypephone [3G Skypephone V2]

Back in November of last year we reviewed 3 Mobile's first Skypephone
and, let's just say that we liked it, but now, thanks to a redesign, 3
mobile's new iteration of their Skypephone (Skypephone V2 if you like)
offers even more versatility from those looking to make cheap VoiP calls
whilst out and about.

Coming with a not unreasonable 50MB of integrated memory and a new,
3.2MP camera, 2 Mobile's new Skypephone serves not only as a portable
Skype handset but as a full 3G cell phone which, paired with its ability
to serve as a Broadband dongle, can also be used to access and surf the
net via your notebook/laptop whilst away from home for extremely
competitive rates (dependent, naturally, on the scope of 3 Mobile's
coverage). Add to that the handset's direct Google, Facebook and Last.FM
ease of access, as well as its ability to pick up RSS feeds, and there's
no doubt that 3 Mobile's Skyephone V2 will undoubtedly serve to build
upon what was already an impressive mobile VoiP service.

3 Mobile Skypephone V2 Key Features:

3.2 Megapixel Camera
50MB internal memory, expandable memory using MicroSD card up to 4GB
Compatible with Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Facebook & RSS feeds
Pre-loaded HSDPA 3.6 modem drivers (for use as a mobile modem for
laptops/notebooks)
Dimensions: 102.7 X 45 x 14 mm
Weight: 95g

Price wise, the new Skypephone will set you back a not too unreasonable
pound sterling69 in the UK with unlimited data on a pay as you go basis
costing a further fiver a month (though you could alternatively utilise
3 Mobile's Mix & Match tariffs and subsequently pay pound sterling5 per
month for 1GB of data transfer - which, let's face it, is far from
extortionate).

Further info concerning 3 Mobile's new Skypephone can be found from the
official Skype product page as linked below.
