Wireless Laser Presentation Mouse with Integral Remote Control Functionality

Of late it seems that your humble computer mouse is becoming evermore
unhappy with its lot, the result being a steady stream of new mice that
either offer additional functionality - such as serving as VoIP handsets
- or extra features invariably catering for making presentations and
controlling media software, such as this Wireless Laser Mouse with
inbuilt remote control functionality.

If you think about it, far from being change merely for the sake of it,
extending the functionality of mice actually makes a great deal of
sense, after all they have the almost undivided attention of one of your
hands - and, lets face it, most of us only have two.

This mouse, apart from serving as a fully featured 2.4G wireless
scroll-wheel laser mouse, offering up to 1800dpi and a tracking speed of
up to 14' per second, also comes complete with a series of extra
buttons allowing you to control your media player (play, pause, skip
tracks, adjust volume) or select and zoom in/out of imagery - which is
particularly useful for slideshow presentations.

It's not rocket science, certainly, but we don't doubt that the added
functionality could prove extremely useful, not least because, if
hosting a presentation, you can simply pick up this mouse and control
the presentation within a range of 8 meters of the mouse's USB wireless
receiver dongle (thus allowing you to pace the room to ensure that your
audience isn't dozing off).

The 2.4G Wireless Laser Media Mouse retails for around $40.
