OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro HDD Gains 750GB Capacity

OWC have added to its range Mercury On-The-Go Pro series of external
hard drives (intended mainly as external hard disk for use with
laptops/notebooks) with a new 750GB capacity model that comes in three
variants offering differing connectivity options.
Comprising of a 5200rpm 750GB SATA HDD billed as capable of delivering
up to 100MB/s data transfer speeds the new Mercury On-The-Go Pro
external hard disk comes in three versions offering FireWire 800/400
with USB 2.0, FireWire 400 with USB 2.0 connectivity with the cheapest
model touting just USB 2.0 though all feature 8MB cache as well as
drawing their power requirements entirely from the aforementioned bus.

Supplied with appropriate cabling as well as software bundles taking in
range of backup and cloning software (including NovaStor NovaBACKUP and
Carbon Copy Cloner) the new 750GB OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro will set you
back just short of $270 for the FireWire 800/400 with USB 2.0 version
down to $230 for the USB only model.
